About

Natasha Ahmed, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with Town Plaza Women’s Health. She is affiliated with Menorah Medical Center.

Dr. Ahmed earned her bachelor’s degree in neurosciences with a minor in Spanish from Union College in Schenectady, NY, followed by a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She then completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at George Washington University where she served as Administrative Chief Resident.

Dr. Ahmed returned to the Kansas City area to be close to her family and to work in the community in which she was raised. She excels at providing patient-centered care for women throughout all stages of life. She has special interest in Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, infertility evaluation, contraception, abnormal bleeding, and pregnancy and post-partum care.

Dr. Ahmed is an active member of the Kansas City Gynecological Society and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists. She started her professional career at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she was awarded the Society for Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology (SASCOG) teaching award.

Care Philosophy

I believe that a physician should be an advocate for her patient. I empower my patients with knowledge and help them find the right treatment specialized for them. The nature of my practice means that I form a unique relationship with each of my patients, treating each person as an individual with careful attention paid to that person’s specific needs. I was born and raised in Leawood, Kansas, and am excited to have returned to the area to care for women in the Kansas City metro.
